The course develops the listening skills and test-taking strategies needed to understand main ideas, details, and paraphrased information across all CELPIP listening sections.

Writing

This course prepares learners to produce clear, well-structured responses for both Task 1 and Task 2, with a focus on coherence, accuracy, and academic language.

1 Write task-appropriate responses
  • Students will be able to write organized, task-appropriate responses that meet CELPIP expectations for coherence, cohesion, and task achievement
2 Use a wider range of language
  • Students will be able to use a wider range of academic vocabulary and complex grammatical structures with improved accuracy

Speaking

This course builds the fluency, accuracy, and communicative confidence required to perform effectively across all three parts of the CELPIP Speaking test.

  • Students will be able to speak with improved fluency, coherence, and interactional competence on a range of familiar and abstract topics
2 Express ideas naturally and effectively
  • Students will be able to use clearer pronunciation, a broader lexical range, and more accurate grammar to express ideas naturally and effectively

Reading

Develop the reading strategies and comprehension skills needed to work accurately and efficiently through the full range of CELPIP reading question types.

  • Students will be able to identify main ideas, specific details, and writer's opinion across a range of CELPIP-style texts
2 Apply efficient reading strategies
  • Students will be able to apply skimming, scanning, and time-management strategies to improve accuracy across CELPIP reading question types
